Black&White

BACKGROUND STORY:

Heibai Wuchang is a pair of deities in Han Chinese folk culture. Their main duty is to guide the souls of the deceased to the underworld, or to directly use tools such as chains and shackles to capture unwilling spirits. Due to their responsibilities, they often roam the mortal world. In ancient times, the streets were not as brightly lit as modern society, so when they walked the streets, White Impermanence appeared as a young man in white under the dim streetlights, while Black Impermanence concealed himself in the shadows with his black attire. However, today happens to be the Lantern Festival, and although the streets are brightly lit, there are still sorrows amidst the joys of the festival. Nonetheless, the two must continue their work. Therefore, Black Impermanence decides to disguise himself as the shadow of White Impermanence, and they proceed together through the streets and alleys.
